Joost van de Mortel switches roles to become a Technical Service Engineer

As of 1 March 2020, Joost van de Mortel has been working as a Technical Service Engineer at Fancom. In his new role, Joost will be providing technical support for our distributors and customers in the successful application of our products. He will also assist our customers in commissioning and operating our systems on-site.

Joost has been active in the livestock sector since 2002 and has built up wide experience in project development and project management for large-scale pig farms. He travelled extensively for his job to realise projects all over the world in cooperation with customers. Joost speaks the language of the farmer and feels completely in his element in the world of agriculture. In 2017, Joost started his career at Fancom in Sales Support where his technical knowledge made a valuable contribution to the sales process  However, in this position Joost missed direct contact with customers in the field so he is pleased that his new challenge as a Technical Service Engineer gives him the opportunity to regularly visit our customers to provide service and advice.

Joost about his new function: “I have a natural customer-centric attitude and am very passionate about customer contact. I gain the greatest satisfaction from my work when I can offer our customers solutions to all their technical issues. I can't wait to get out on the road to advise our customers on how to use our automated systems efficiently and smoothly. In this way, I can help them work towards adequate and animal-friendly operation."
